Haryana Roadways strike: DGP guides police to keep up law and request


Chandigarh: As the uncertain strike called by the Haryana Roadways workers entered its third day today, state DGP K P Singh requested that police authorities keep up peace and guarantee that no mischief is brought on to open property.

"Extra police work force have been deputed in delicate such territories as Jind and Rohtak, and SPs in different regions have been coordinated to depute home gatekeepers, if required," he told correspondents here.

Answering to a question, the DGP said that as indicated by the reports got up until this point, the strike had been serene and there was no report of any untoward episode or any intimidation.

The workers are challenging gently and nobody has attempted to stop any private transport, he included.

As the strike proceeded for the third day, open transport transports stayed rough terrain, burdening workers over the state.

The Haryana roadways workers are challenging over issuance of grants to private administrators.
